Hello Fred :) It's Iris, Trent at 'Souls. Not on DevArt a whole lot anymore but came across your page and decided to watch you. <3 Your work is really great, nice to see some non-Souls-work on here too, I like what I see mucho :)

You have a lot of skill, I have to say that first and foremost. You are able to pile on the detail without appearing terribly overdone and tend to allow for visual resting places within your intensely detailed work so our eyes don't become overburdened with too much information.

I'm sure you grow tired of me saying that you have a tendency to get lost in the details. You have so much exuberance in your work and such a wonderful looseness and abandon that some things tend to get a little "off" and I'm sure by the time you step back and notice them it seems too late to be worth the bother fixing it. Part if me wants you to take it all one step further, really throw it all to the wind and purposefully exaggerate everything rather than having it be unnameably "off" under all the details.

I like that you're expanding your subjects and doing some concentrated study as you do so. Your humans are coming along nicely. Keep up your studies and don't forget to become familiar with how the base structure functions and affects the surface that we see. You might want to review paw structure as well as they appear a bit mushy and uncertain where so much of you work is direct and certain.

Again, I think it'd be fun to see you do some pieces in which you really exaggerate everything purposefully and see how that goes. Thank you for being so open and do keep up the most awesome work! It was fun poking through your tumblr and getting to see a lot more than what is posted here!

"You gain as much as you put in. Toss a small grain of sand in an oyster farm and you might get a small pearl back. Toss a little rock in an oyster bed and you get a larger pearl . . . toss in a boulder and you get a bunch of smooshed clams." ~CERT

 The only thing is that you're too good to me! But I am infinitely, infinitely grateful for your feedback - as ever. And please let me know if you ever need a drawing or feel like trading art or anything in return for your time and commitment for helping other people out. (Maybe involving paws! Heheheh)
