Alors!

Here's a few more hours of work into the arab for my classical series aka I love George Stubbs.

Psst, I didn't at first mean to upload this in works-in-progresses... But I seem to be doing so now. Sorry.

Part one was critiqued beautifully. Thanks to you all yet again. I've done my best to improve everything that was picked out!

Do let me know if you like it or if I've gone downhill with anything, hehe. There's still a lot of work to do - you can't see quite how messy it is at this resolution. So, again, feedback would be loved.

Lower joints need some more work, I think. They look too upward. But I love the colors.

I agree with :iconlumileek: about the lower joints, though. Other than that, I think it's great.

Beautiful work! I love the lighting, it looks just about perfect. The only thing I can see is maybe the tail is too short? I'm not sure though, I'm no horse expert so feel free to disregard. ;>

I've been a terrible commenter lately and I WILL get round to your other lovely pieces, but I figured I'd be a decent DA person and comment on this now, since you're asking!

this is gorgeous and much more arablike than the first one, the head is lovely especially, possibly a titchy bit too small (I mean the TINIEST bit. in fact I'm not even sure. maybe the nose needs to be a hair longer? I can't decide)

the quarters, I think the topline of the croup was more accurate/arablike in the first one - I know the flatter croup is a characteristic of some arabians. It's a bit too downward sloping now. I think the line all the way around the bum and right down to the hock was also better in the first one. Having said that the legs look better shaped generally in this one, and that muscle in the upper hindleg (thigh equivalent) is in the right place now.

I think that's everything, he's gorgeous and I love the greengold background and how its echoed through his coat!
